A. Purpose and Scope
This system details how we pray with people in the Altar. Our goal is to have prayer team members of a variety of age groups, male and female, and ethnicity to pray with people at the Altar. Our goal is to pray for and with people, and help them to draw closer to God and activate their faith.

4.Have faith and believe that God is able and willing.
5.All members will receive and sign the Crossroads Honor Code as outlined.

C. General Expectations
1.All Members will attend in person or virtual training.
2.All Members will be trained to respond to the schedule of the Planning Center, either to accept or to decline.
3.All Members scheduled to be Altar workers for the service will arrive 30 minutes before service and tag in with System owner 10 minutes prior to Service start.

D. Process
1.After Altar Call is mentioned by Pastor or Speaker, respond by being available to pray with anyone who comes to the Altar.
2. Be also available to pray with those who stay in their seats.
3. If it is a guest introduce yourself to and ask their name.
4. Ask them if there is a specific need they would like you to pray for.
5. Pray with them sincerely.
6. If they respond and are visibly moved, ask them: ‘’Would you like to            experience more of God in your life today?’’
7. If they say Yes, go to step 8. If they say No, tell them what a great step it was for them to take today in trusting God to work on their behalf. Then say for example: “It took a lot of courage for you to step out today. God will honor your sincerity and faith today.”
8. Ask them if you can lead them in a prayer of repentance. If yes, remind them to pray with you, speaking out loud using their own words.
9. Lead them in a prayer of repentance. If they are not speaking out loud, remind them to.
10. Once they have repented out loud , continue to encourage them to keep repenting. Then thank God for the freedom and forgiveness they feel.
11.If they start speaking in Tongues, praise God with them until they finish speaking. Then encourage them by saying:" This is the Spirit of God on you right now."
12. When they finish (be sensitive to their demeanor), tell them ‘’I feel so much better, don’t you?’’ If they spoke in Tongues, ask them if they heard the words. Don't tell them that they have spoken in Tongues, let them realize that on their own. If they say yes, ask if they understood the words. It may take people a few minutes to understand, or have to speak in tongues a few times to realize what happened.
13. Make sure to follow up with them.
