Chris and Misrah Johnson
Senior Pastor
Since responding to the calling of God on his life and taking on the role as Pastor of theCrossroads, Christopher Johnson, alongside his wife, Misrah, are leading the church into a new season with fresh vision, while continuing to honor its original mission, to be a church where Love is the Answer.
Pastor Chris has a passion for healthy marriages and families. With a master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, he and his wife provide mentorship, counseling and support to strengthen and promote thriving families, not just within the church, but throughout the surrounding community, as he and Misrah both believe, “it all starts in the home.” Having retired from the military as a Major with 23 years of service, he also currently uses his training and expertise to serve the Larue County School District as a JROTC Senior Army Instructor. His guidance and commitment to seeing the success of young men and women as they operate in their full potential gives him additional motivation as he serves in his God-given call.
Misrah Johnson is currently working on multiple certifications and a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts. She is passionate about blessing others with fine culinary experiences and is well versed in catering large events.
With a degree in Health Care Management, Misrah also offers her knowledge and administrative skills by supporting her husband in his Pastoral duties, and oversees Apostoli, a coffee shop that is located in close proximity to the church.
Chris and Misrah have five children and live in Elizabethtown, KY. Together, they are leading theCrossroads to a deeper level of faith, unity, and commitment with a desire to see it grow into all that God has planned for it to be.

A.J. and Cathy Dummitt
Bishop
In 2001, A.J. and Cathy became the fourth pastor at our church and faithfully served for 24 years. In 2025, A.J. was elected to the position of Global Missions Director of Promotions. This new role required him and his family to relocate to St. Louis, making it impossible for him to continue as Senior Pastor of The Crossroads. In recognition of his and his family’s many years of dedicated service to both the church and the community, the congregation chose to honor him by appointing him as a Church Bishop, a role in which he continues to offer guidance and support to the current senior pastor.
