Ablaze Youth Ministry

Purpose and Scope:
theCrossroads UPC Student Ministry (Ablaze) exists to reach our students with the Word of God, to help them grow in their knowledge of Christ, and to nurture a burning desire to reach out to others in love with that knowledge.
The purpose for establishing a Systems Handbook is to demonstrate our clear commitment to the physical safety and spiritual growth of our students. theCrossroads UPC also recognizes the need to have a formal, written policy to (1) prevent the occurrence and/or appearance of abuse of our youth, (2) protect our adults from false accusations and/or suspicions, (3) protect the reputation and financial and emotional well-being of the entire church. Procedure:
1.) Plan, organize and execute all areas of the Ablaze Youth with the help of all youth committee members.
2.) Pray for all the students and encourage them spiritually.
3.) Help all students to grow into who God wants them to be and support them in their areas of ministry.
4.) Be trustworthy and someone they feel confident in to help them along their spiritual journey.
5.) Have fun with them while leading them.
6.) Refer to the handbook above and each system for the areas that are under the Ablaze youth.
