Purpose and Scope:
Our purpose is to help children build a relationship with Jesus.  We want to teach them to love Jesus like a best friend.  We want them to learn about salvation according to Acts 2:38 and living a holy life pleasing to Jesus.  We want to instill the Biblical truths into their hearts so they will not depart from them as they grow up.  Our prayer is that each child will receive salvation and learn Biblical truths that will never leave them.  We also want them to learn about their spiritual giftings and prepare them to start using them.  They can start using some of them while they are in King's Kids.  Others may have to wait until they are in the youth group but creating the opportunities for them to learn to serve is important in spiritual growth.  Jesus is coming back soon, and we all want to be ready!

Procedure:
Teaching Team Members

• -  Will arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the service - 10:30 am on Sunday mornings.
• -  Will greet children by name.
• -  Will mark children present on the attendance sheet as they come in and get names of new children.
• -  Will take temperatures as children come in. (Only when Covid numbers are high.)
• -  Will prepare postcards for children who are absent and birthday cards to those whose birthdays are coming up that week.
• -  Will help hand out snack and help clean up snack.
• -  Will spot sweep while others are taking down the tables and chairs. Making sure each table gets wiped off and put in the hallway and chairs stacked along the walls.
• -  Will participate and encourage all children to participate in the action songs or games.
• -  Will help with “crowd control” while the main teacher is teaching.
• -  Will assist the main teacher in any area needed and will not cause distractions during the lesson or during emergency drills.
• -  Will be the extra set of eyes at all times so that nothing can be said about our children or our teaching team that is not true.
• -  Will be watching for parents to start coming to pick up their child and will match their number on the tag before releasing the child.
• -  Will be sure there are always at least 2 adults with the children at all times by being on time and where I am needed to be.
• -  Will sanitize the bathrooms in between each use when Covid numbers are high.
• -  Will help make sure the building is closed up properly.
  - Air/heat adjusted properly (see note by thermostat).
  - Toilets flushed and faucets turned off.
  - Kitchen straightened up and food put away.  Faucet turned off.
  - Dirty dishes or silverware rinsed.
  - Ceiling fan turned off.
  - Lights off.
  - Door locked by just pressing the lock button on the outside after you walk out and close the door.  DO NOT lock the lock from the inside on the handle.

This system has been reviewed with me and I have had an opportunity to ask questions and discuss pertinent details. I understand my role on the team. King's Kids workers will have to submit to a background check.  I certified that I have read and agree to follow the procedures stated within this document.
