First Responders System
First Responders System
System Owner: Crystal Abbott
Purpose/Scope:
This system is to ensure that any wellness, health, or emergency situation requiring medical attention is handled in an effective efficient manner.
Procedure:
1. In situations requiring first aid one of our First Responders (nurse or doctor) will assess the situation and determine what needs to be done. I.e. Call EMS, start CPR, apply a band-aid.
2. If the situation is one that only requires first aid that can be administered by the First Responders, then they will handle the situation and inform any responsible person of the party involved.
3. If the situation requires EMS, the First Responders will assess the person and obtain any important data while someone else calls 911. If no one else is around the First Responders should call out for someone and call 911 if no one else comes to help.
4. If CPR is required, the First Responders will initiate CPR while someone else calls 911. If no one else is around the First Responders will call out for someone else. If no one comes quickly the First Responders will call 911 while initiating CPR.
5. No matter the situation, the First Responders will assess and then proceed to do whatever they feel is necessary and most appropriate to keep the person and them safe.
6. The First Responders will complete the Church Incident Report Form.
7. Maintain the First Aid Kits located in the King Kids, Nursery, and Sound Booth.
Acknowledge
