Purpose/Scope:
This system details how the guests are welcomed as they walk in our doors until we get them seated in the sanctuary and any children with them to the proper areas (if this is good with the parents), if not they can stay with them.
- Main Requirements:
- Love Jesus with all their heart.
- Love Pastor and Sis Cathy with all their heart.
- Love the Crossroads with all their heart.
- Procedure:
- Must be at church one hour before service starts and stay after service at least 15 minutes.
- Spend 15 minutes in prayer before Tag-in.
- Tag-in is 45 minutes before service starts.
- Receive/review your assignment.
- Get ready any of the equipment needed which will be in the F.I.T. Cabinet in the meeting room.
- Make yourself very familiar with the church app calendar events and announcements.
- Be at your post 40 minutes before service.
- If you are assigned outside the front door, please check the weather and come prepared. (People believe you really care when you are out in extreme temperatures).
- After prayer, a front and side door greeter will receive a two-way radio, earpiece, and any necessary equipment.
- The parking lot attendants will radio the name(s) of the guests to the greeters. When the guest(s) walks toward the door from their guest parking place - the greeter introduces themselves to the guest and greets them by name.
- Welcome them to the Crossroads warmly and genuinely. You can ask, if someone invited them – to ensure they are seated in the area the invitee normally sit.
- Connect the guest with the front or side door Greeter to the sanctuary (Ushers or Campus Host).
- Show them where the nursery, restrooms, and guest reception rooms are as you walk them to an usher at sanctuary doors.
- Introduce the guest by name to the usher who will help them find a seat and give them a connection card and pen.
- Be aware during the service if there are several new guests because you will probably need to help the Campus Host team make sure ALL guests are greeted, prayed for and with at the end of service and asked to go meet the Pastor and his wife in Guest Reception area.
- The Campus Host Team will also help with this, so you can go back to your position at the front or side door and make sure to invite the guests to come back again.
- Please always be aware of our guests - they are our highest priority!
