Saturday Morning Prayer System
SYSTEM OWNER: Petra Davis & Crystal Abbott
PURPOSE & SCOPE:
This system exists to bring the congregation together for prayer. It is meant to be a time for personal prayer, focused prayer, and prayer encouragement. Also it is a
time to purify our hearts, ignite our spirits and draw closer to Jesus as we prepare for the Weekend services.
Prayer Leader Requirements:
● Love Jesus with all their hearts, have been baptized in Jesus Name, and filled with the Holy Ghost.
● Love our Pastor and First Lady wholeheartedly
● Love theCrossroads and be faithful to the church body.
● Have a consistent prayer life.
● Will sign theCrossroads Leadership Honor Code as outlined.
PROCEDURE:
1. The system owner will be responsible for scheduling a prayer leader and worship leader for each Saturday morning in planning center.
2. The prayer leader and worship leader will be responsible for responding in the planning center with either accepting or declining requests, if possible one week prior.
3. The system owner will provide topic, theme or scripture to the prayer leader in advance or will suggest they come up with their own theme, if possible by one week prior.
4. The worship leader will be responsible to choose these songs and add them to planning center by the Monday afternoon before the upcoming Saturday Morning Prayer.
5. The worship team will be ready with at least one worship song in the beginning and at the end.
6. After worship, the prayer leader will present the prayer focus. There should be 2-3 scriptures and teaching points to be presented in apx. 15 minutes.
7. If appropriate, the prayer leader can submit the scriptures/notes being used to the online campus team for a fill in the blanks notes page to be set up and added to the livestream service link.
8. If prayer leader requires slides or visuals, they must be presented to the production team by Thursday Morning prior to the Saturday Morning Prayer.
9. Twenty minutes of personal prayer time will follow the prayer leader's exhortation. During this time soft music will play and scriptures, prayer requests, and or prayer encouragement will scroll on the screen. Communion will also be offered (to be taken alone, with family or others) during this time of personal prayer.
10. Fresh Visuals (prayer guide slides, etc.) can/should be added to make the personal time of prayer more productive on the livestream for the online campus monthly.
8. Corporate Prayer for upcoming services, Pastor and family, and special requests will follow. Prayer Leader or Pastor will lead this.
9. Service will be closed out with one song. Dismissal will follow. (Always trying to stay right around 60 minutes for the entire Prayer Service).
